Jitendra Kumar Shrestha
Committed Leadership for Lalitpur's Development, Strengthening Democracy, and Good Governance
Born in the lap of the Bouddha Stupa in Pulchowk, the heart of the city of culture and heritage, Lalitpur, Jitendra Kumar Shrestha is not only the District Chairman of Nepali Congress Lalitpur but also a pillar of the transformed Congress.
Engaged in the timber business from a young age, Shrestha possesses a self-reliant character and believes in building a self-sufficient society. Active in social service, he is known as a leading social worker in relief distribution after the 2015 Earthquake, Covid-19, and floods.
His political journey, starting from Nepali Congress Ward President, has reached up to Mahasamiti Member, passing through positions like Regional Secretary, Treasurer, and General Convention Representative. His continuous dedication to democracy and the Nepali Congress is commendable.
It is believed that his voice in the parliament will be strong on issues such as constitution amendment, good governance, corruption control, promotion of industry and business, and press freedom.
